One of my biggest food cravings in the summer is a refreshing smoothie. I love starting the day with a big breakfast smoothie, whether it’s green, fruity or caffeinated I have a recipe for you. Nothing beats a cold drink on a 30+ degree day.
I have 3 easy and yummy breakfast smoothies to get you through the dog days of summer
These are the days I hate to turn on the oven or cook anything for that matter. I normally gravitate towards fresh, no cook meals – big salads, lots of fruit, and refreshing smoothies. I could have a smoothie for all three meals when it comes to summer. There easy, don’t require heating up the kitchen and don’t make me feel heavy or hot on the days that I just can’t seem to stop sweating. You know the days I’m talking about.
3 Easy Summer Smoothies
Ingredients
- Mocha Latte Smoothie
- 1 cup cashew or coconut milk
- 2/3 cup coffee, brewed
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup (depends on your sweet preference)
- 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 Tbsp collagen powder
- handful of ice
- Green Tropics Smoothie
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- Cinnamon Bun Smoothie
- 1 1/2 cups cashew milk
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 – 3 tsp cinnamon
- splash or two of maple syrup
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- handful of ice
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a high powered blender and puree until frothy
- Enjoy
