Old Fashioned Glazed Donuts

Old fashioned donuts with a hint of nutmeg and a spooky glaze.
  • 1 1/2 cups AP flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup non-dairy milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • Glaze:
  • 3/4 cup icing sugar
  • 1 1/12-2 Tbsp non-dairy milk
  • few drops of food colour
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together the dry ingredients. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and whisk well to combine.
  3. Divide batter into a greased donut pan using a pipping bag or small spoon.
  4. Bake for 8-12 minutes.
  5. Let donuts cool completely before glazing.
  6. To make the spider web glaze dip the cooled donut into your base colour glaze then drizzle your web colour glaze around the top of the donut in a circle motion. Gently drag a toothpick through the glaze to create the spider web look.
