Weather you eat it straight out of the oven, with a cup of tea, a side of berries, or topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream you can’t go wrong with a fudge crackle top brownie.
Crackle top, fudge centre and ,full of chocolate flavour – the components to the perfect brownie. Well, at least in my opinion. This brownie recipe has it all!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or coconut oil
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup AP flour (can use oat flour)
1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a glass bowl over about 2 inches of simmering water, melt the butter and chocolate.
While the chocolate melts, in a seperat bowl sift together the cocoa, flour, and salt.
Once the chocolate has melted let it cool while you whisk the eggs and sugar until they become fluffy and light in colour, about 3 minutes.
Whisk a little chocolate into the egg mixture. Then add the remaining chocolate and whisk to combine.
Fold in the dry ingredients and pour the batter into a parchment paper lined 8 by 8 baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
Let cool, then slice into squares.
